Four dead in Kentucky mass shooting before gunman leads police chase, kills himself

Five people are dead, including the suspect, and three others are recovering after a mass shooting overnight in Kentucky.

Police responded to a call shortly before 3 a.m. Saturday of an active shooting at a home in Florence, Kentucky.

When they arrived, they found seven people with gunshot wounds. Four people were pronounced dead at the scene, according to WLWT.

The three injured victims were taken to a hospital in the United States for treatment. Their condition is critical but stable.

A suspect reportedly fled the scene of the shooting in his car, but police caught up with him and attempted to stop him. A brief chase ensued, which ended when the suspect reportedly drove his vehicle into a ditch.

When officers arrived at the vehicle, they found the suspect had suffered a self-inflicted gunshot wound to the head.
