Donald Trump compares himself to Al Capone and boasts that the gangster “wasn’t indicted” as much as he was

In what many called an “absolutely insane” comparison (going so far as to say Trump sounded like he was bragging about his allegations), Trump told the crowd, “Al Capone was charged less than I was,” referring to the notorious crime boss.

Viewers were left baffled by the former president’s comments.

Donald Trump appeared to compare himself to Al Capone, saying the gangster “wasn’t indicted” as much as he was at a political rally in Florida on Tuesday night.

In what many called an “absolutely insane” comparison (going so far as to say Trump sounded like he was bragging about his allegations), Trump told the crowd, “Al Capone was indicted less than I was,” referring to the notorious crime boss behind crimes including gambling, prostitution, bootlegging, bribery, drug trafficking, theft, “protection” rings and murder.

Viewers were left baffled, with one saying: “Donald Trump sounds absolutely insane right now lol why is he talking about Scarface and Al Capone?”

Trump rallied supporters at one of his Miami-area golf courses as the deadline for announcing his running mate approaches. But he appears to be in no rush, with much of the focus still on questions about Biden’s ability to govern for another four-year term. Some Democrats have begun calling for Biden to step down as their virtual nominee after his dismal performance in last month’s debate.

“Our victory was so resounding that Joe’s own party now wants him to throw in the towel and hand over the presidency after just one 90-minute performance,” Trump said Tuesday night. “They want ‘Crooked Joe’ out of the race. It’s a shame the way they’re treating him. But don’t feel sorry for him. He’s a very bad guy.”
