Chris Paul performs in San Antonio

Happy Wednesday, Por Vida fans! Welcome to your morning Spurs Starter.

As the San Antonio Spurs prepare for another season with 7′ 4″ rookie Victor Wembanyama, they have some adjustments to make.

Improving through the preseason or the draft was the main question at first, but it turned out they accomplished both. Adding Stephon Castle was the first step, and Chris Paul came in later, forming what could be a solid rookie-veteran duo that could help the young team in the long run.

But before that, Paul had to get acquainted. And that he did.

“Hey Spurs fans,” the point guard said in a brief video after signing with the team. “I just wanted to let you know how excited I am to be coming to San Antonio. I would have never thought in a million years that I would have the opportunity to play for Pop, but I’m so excited.”

“I can’t wait to get to work and see what we have the opportunity to do.”
