Man arrested after destroying Rite Aid store in Los Angeles

A man was arrested after vandalizing the interior of a Rite Aid store in Los Angeles on Tuesday night.

According to preliminary information, the Los Angeles Police Department was dispatched to the Rite Aid located at 226 North Larchmont Boulevard in the Larchmont neighborhood of Los Angeles around 9:30 p.m. for calls of a disturbance.

The video shows the man walking through the store past displays he knocked over; he is also seen throwing bottles of lighter fluid around the store.

Customers inside the Rite Aid also reported that he was harassing them.

Responding officers quickly entered the store and pounced on merchandise that was strewn across the store floor, including bottles of lighter fluid, an exploding bag of Doritos and boxed snacks.

The man was eventually arrested after causing about $4,000 in damage to the store.

Although his identity was not immediately released, ANG news service reported that the man is a passerby.

KTLA has reached out to the Los Angeles Police Department for more information but has not yet received a response.
